Today we are going to look through the steps to Install Visual Studio Code in Ubuntu using Ubuntu Software. The process of installing Visual Studio Code is very simple when using the Ubuntu Software program that comes in by default with Ubuntu.
The Visual Studio Code is a fantastic text editor provided by Microsoft. Asides from being free and open source it is also available to install in nearly all the operating systems. There are various plugins and tools available to be added with the Visual Studio code that makes it easy to use for nearly all the programming languages.
To install Visual Studio Code in Ubuntu, just open up the Ubuntu Software:
Click on the search icon in the top left corner and search for the text “code” like shown in the following screenshot:
Click on the “Install” button next to the “code” and the Visual Studio Code will start to get installed in the machine.
Once the installation is completed, you can open up the VS code editor by searching for “code” from the applications list:
